  The Kove® XPD™ L2 performs similarly well, whether reading, writing, or doing both. The access pattern never degrades performance meaningfully.

• Uniform Performance Across Random and Sequential Access

  Kove® XPD™ L2 performs similarly well whether or not I/O access is random or sequential.

• Uniform Performance Across Small or Large Blocks

  The Kove® XPD™ L2 performs consistently well regardless of block size. Some media “tune” performance for 4K blocks, but then perform badly when using 512 byte blocks, or 1 MB blocks. The XPD™ L2 performs uniformly well across all block sizes.

  Kove® XPD™ L2 performance doesn’t wear down and the media doesn’t wear out. It will run as well out of the box as it will years later. It will not require media swap-outs.

  The Kove® XPD™ L2 self-heals for most problems that can occur, eliminating problems before they ever are noticed. Additionally, the XPD™ L2 constantly monitors storage health, and can report status via SNMP, Syslog, or HTTP down to the second.

• Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)

  The Kove® XPD™ L2 comes standard with a UPS to protect against downtime. You’ll never be bothered by another utility company power spike. If a power outage does occur, the XPD™ L2 will gracefully shut down only if or when necessary to protect the data. When you bring the XPD™ L2 back online after an outage, data will be where it should be.

• 2 Terabyte DRAM Capacity

  The Kove® XPD™ L2 uses DRAM, not flash, and is the first DRAM memory disk to reach 2 TB per unit. It is mesh-attachable to accommodate larger storage needs.

• InfiniBand & Fibre Channel

  The Kove® XPD™ L2 supports either InfiniBand or Fibre Channel interconnects. All speeds are supported: SDR, DDR, and QDR for InfiniBand, and 2,4,8 gbps for Fibre Channel.

  The Kove® XPD™ L2 provides up to 28.5 GB/sec bandwidth, the highest continuous, sustainable performance in a 4U enclosure.
